No one pays attention to this study. Everyone should. It was done in 1956 and published in the Lancet. The short story is this: This was the study done by Dr.'s Kekwick and Pawan. Three groups of women. Each had iso-caloric diets below "maintenance" levels so weight loss should have occurred in ALL groups.. each group was required to obtain 80% of their calories from one macro-nutrient group - protein, fat or carbs. They were not restricted to food sources.. just so the majority of their daily intake calories was predominated by either protein, fat or carbs. The ONLY group that GAINED body fat was the carbohydrate group...
