The Best High Protein Low Carb Pudding Recipe Ever And NO Artificial Sweeteners!!

One of the things I miss since cleaning up my diet and eliminating as many artificial sweeteners as possible is quick high protein pudding. Back in the day I would simply use the Jello Sugar High Protein Tapioca PuddingFree pudding mix and add my favorite whey protein but every sugar free pudding mix I've ever found contains Aspartame and Aspartame gives me a real bad headache within an hour of eating it. Well I've found it... well not really.. I created it!! A very low carbohydrate, very high protein, low fat pudding that tastes amazing and has zero artificial sweeteners! Hard to believe? Try it yourself. Here's the recipe.

 

Prep Time - 6 minutes

Cook Time - 15 to 20 minutes

Makes 4 servings

 

  • 2 Eggs yolks separated out
  • 4 cups of water
  • 6 Tbls Quick Tapioca Flakes (Lets Do Organic Tapioca Granules)
  • 5 scoops Whey Natural! USA Vanilla whey protein powder

 

Mix Whey Natural! protein and water into a medium sized saucepan and stir with a whisk till the consistency of milk and whey is completely dissolved.

Add two egg yolks and whisk until egg yolks are completely mixed in

Add 6 Tbls of Tapioca Flakes

Let stand for 5 minutes

 

Tapioca Pudding In Saucepan


Place saucepan on medium heat. Once mixture begins to get hot stir it slowly periodically keeping it from sticking to the bottom of the sauce pan. As the mixture begins to show bubbling around the edges stir it more frequently. Mixture will also begin to thicken. Continue to stir until mixture breaks into a light boil and the boiling does not stop completely when you mix it. Once it reaches this point remove from stove and allow to cool a little. Pour into 4 individual bowls or glass cups and place in refrigerator and allow to cool completely. Top with fresh whipped cream and serve.

 

 

 

Each cup of tapioca pudding should provide:

 

31 Grams of Protein

9 Grams of Carbohydrates

3 Grams of Fat

0 Sugar

Continuation To "What To Say To A Vegan"

This blog post has been prompted by two people who will remain nameless. One is promoting himself as an athlete and trying to get on the show now for quite a while. The other has been vegana guest on the show and is a syndicated columnist. The thing both of these people share in common is they are Vegan because they believe its healthier than including animal protein in their diets.

 

I addressed this notion in a blog post titled "What To Say To A Vegan" a year ago in April of 2012. if you missed it.. you can read it here - http://superhumanradio.com/what-to-say-to-a-vegan.html .

 

More recently this study yet again points to the fact that the Vegan lifestyle carries many risks and few rewards. Here's a study that was shared by Adel Moussa that shows Vegans have a two times greater risk of Cardiovascular Disease than omnivores to add to your "What To Say To A Vegan" response. 

 

Back to the subject at hand.. so I get a request to be a guest on SHR at least every other month from this fellow promoting himself. His story is quite positive.. once over 400 pounds and is now in the low 200's. He losses me when he boasts that he did it all on a "Plant Based Diet". He has been on many main stream TV news shows and appears to have the self-promoting semblance of mind to take his picture with everyone and anyone who is even remotely associated with health and fitness. And its obvious why the main stream embraces his story.. he's a "Forks Over Knives" disciple..

 

I can not in good conscious promote the Vegan lifestyle as a health alternative. I respect people who do it out of their sensitivity to animals or spiritual beliefs.. but trying to convince others that its healthy is just plain lying..

If you see someone at the gym who's training is producing good results.. do you say something toman working out them to reinforce their progress? If the opportunity presents itself are you the type of person who will say to someone you don't really know but see all the time at the gym "hey .. just wanted to tell you.. your physique really looks great" or "I can't help but notice you've made some really impressive progress in the past few months"?

We all work hard and we all want to be noticed when our hard work is paying off. Sure we do this for ourselves.. but its nice when someone steps up and takes notice.. right?
