SHR # 1347 :: Fragmented Sleep Accelerates Tumor Growth PLUS How Antioxidants May Fuel Lung Cancer PLUS How Building Design Has Effected Bacterial Spread ::

Guest: Dr. David Gozal - Dr. Martin Bergo - James Meadow

Dr. Gozal's group looked at the effects of interrupted and fragmented sleep on tumor growth and progression and it's not good. What was once thought to be a result of oxygen de-saturation in those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea appears to have nothing to do with oxygen levels at all. PLUS Supplement like antioxidants work. That's the good news. It's also the bad news. Antioxidants protect healthy tissue and cancerous tissue alike. Dr. Borego explains what we need to understand about this. PLUS The bacteria living in you home and work place are effected by and effect you. Meadow discusses what you should understand about this new frontier of where science meets architecture.

No idea why but the last two episodes are inaudible on my Android device, both RSS download and through the app - completely garbled. However I can listen though my computer without issue. Anyone else with this issue? No other podcast I download on my Android has this issue only SHR.
